He married Faye Hofman on May 15, 1957 in Oshkosh.
Gerald was a Korean War era Marine Corps Veteran. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a Distribution Clerk until his retirement in 1991. Gerald was a Civil War and World War II history enthusiast. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Grasee of Oshkosh; daughters, Joni (Joachim) Neteler of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Dr. Gail Grasee DVM of Indianapolis, IN, Lynn (Douglas) Marciniak of Oshkosh; brothers James (Diana) Grasee of DePere, Dale Grasee of Oshkosh, Michael (Diane) Grasee of Two Rivers; sisters, Joanne Brunover and Sharon (John) Eaton of Oshkosh, Adele Grasee of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Rachael and Sydney Marciniak of Oshkosh, Katie and Becca Neteler of Kuala Lumpur. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Herbert Brunover; and a sister-in-law Lorraine Grasee.
The funeral service will be on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Eastside) with the Rev. Eric Quinney-Burnard. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
Gerald's family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at Aurora Medical Center's Medical Intensive Care Unit for the care he received.
A memorial has been established to Christ Lutheran Church.
