He was born in Osakis, Minnesota on March 7, 1911, a son of the late Joe and Mary Gertrude Jacklin. He married Marjorie Atkins on November 19, 1932 in Oshkosh and she preceded him in death on September 3, 1951. He and Delores Schatzley were wed on December 29, 1952 in Oshkosh and she preceded him in death on June 24, 1973. Adrian married Barbara Kroll on February 26, 1974 in Oshkosh.
Adrian owned Chapin Roofing and Siding Company. He attended New Life Community Church.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Chapin, Oshkosh; three sons, Roger (Arlene) Chapin, Oshkosh; Adrian (Jaime) Chapin II, Menasha; Tod (Andrea) Chapin, Aberdeen, Scotland; two daughters, Nancy (Wilbur) Vandersee, Oshkosh; Annette (Terry) Skaug, Oshkosh; three brothers, Sheldon (Shirley) Chapin, Alwin Chapin and James (Violet) Chapin all of Oshkosh; four sisters, Shirley (Elmer) Snell, Iowa; Thelma Reynolds, Oshkosh; Mildred Brown, Shelbyville, IN; and Laural Schroeder, Gillett, WI; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, seven brothers and two sisters.
Memorial services will be held at New Life Community Church on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Mark Elliot officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Sunday from 2:00 PM to the time of service. Inurnment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established.
