Jerry was the son of Harold and Beatrice (Curtis) Westphal. He was born in the Town of Morris, Shawano County, on September 22, 1939. Jerry married Mary Ellen Sphatt on April 16, 1966 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oshkosh.
Jerry worked for Rockwell Manufacturing, retiring about 1997, after 36 years. He also worked for Lenox Candle Factory. Jerry enjoyed sports, reading, spending time with his family, and his special cat, Henry.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen. He is further survived by daughter, Gina (Dan) Arndt of Wausau, son, Kyle of Appleton, daughter, Darcy of Appleton, two grandchildren, Brenton and Danielle Arndt of Wausau, and one brother, Duane (Pat) Westphal of Neenah. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service for Jerry will be held Thursday July 29, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday at the Lake Pointe Dr. funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the service.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
