Jean Shirley Gorwitz

Jean S. Gorwitz, age 87 of Oshkosh, died at Evergreen Retirement Community on Monday, March 7, 2011. She was born in Marshfield, WI on October 19, 1923, daughter of the late Thomas and Roetta Fasbender Fitzgibbon. On October 25, 1952 she married Harry Gorwitz in Oshkosh. Harry preceded her in death on April 28, 2008.Jean was a member of Temple BNai Israel. Survivors include her son, Marshall (Crystal) Gorwitz, Appleton; daughter, Debbie (Michael) Heitzer, Pewaukee; brother, Robert Fitzgibbon, Oshkosh; sister Marjorie Smith, Ocala, FL; five grandchildren, Michael Gorwitz, Ann Arbor, MI; Jennie Gorwitz, Appleton; Andrew Heitzer, Pewaukee; Kevin Heitzer, Pewaukee; Henry Heitzer, Evanston, IL and a sister-in-law, Audrey Gorwitz, Oshkosh.Private graveside services will be held and internment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.A special thank you to Heartland Hospice and the staff at Evergreen Retirement Community for the care and compassion given to our mother.
