Nancy Jean Pitz

January 26, 1939 — August 5, 2023

Nancy J. Pitz, age 84 of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023. She was born in Oshkosh on January 26, 1939 to the late Franklin and Carol Davies. Nancy was united in marriage on August 13, 1960 to Bernard “Bernie” Pitz at St. Mary Catholic Church.

She worked at numerous places throughout her life including: Wisconsin Bell, Krambo grocery store, Kohl’s Food Store, Pick ‘n Save and B.W. Pitz Rentals.

Nancy had a fierce love for her family. As she got older, she loved watching her grandchildren excel in their extracurricular activities. She was a social butterfly with an infectious smile that could light up any room. Nancy always looked forward to afternoons with the “lunch bunch”, and most recently, enjoyed a day with her lifelong friends on their “senior citizen field trip”. She also found great joy in gardening, boating, playing dominos, cheering for Michael Jordan and Steph Curry, and spending time with her feline friend, Lola.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Tim (Suzanne), Jeff, James (Anastasia Burkham) Pitz, and Rebecca (Michael) Federico; grandchildren: Stephanie, Benjamin, Alexis, Joshua, Samuel, Olivia, and Emma; sister-in-law: Elizabeth Pitz.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Pitz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish-St. Mary site, 605 Merritt Ave. with Fr. Jerome Pastors officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Interment will be held at Riverside Catholic Cemetery.
