Raymond Oscar Dinger

Raymond O. Dinger, age 85, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born on April 18, 1929 in Oshkosh, to the late Herman and Sylvia (Annis) Dinger. Ray received his GED and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 until 1972. His highest ranking was E-6 SSG. After retiring from the service, Ray became a U.S. Postal worker until his retirement.He is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Carla Kinderman who has been by his side as his care giver; sister, Darlene Miller; and other family and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William and Harold Dinger; and sister Betty Jane Kent. A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel. After the visitation there will be full military honors performed at the cemetery.The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Park View Health Center, Heartland Hospice, and Aurora Medical Center for the loving care and compassion they showed towards Ray.
