Richard L. Schoonover

Richard L. Schoonover, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was born August 9, 1934 in Janesville, WI to the late William and Nora Schoonover. He married Marion Sass on September 12, 1959 at the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. They were married 58 years until her passing in 2017.

Richard worked at Krambo Meat Packaging Plant, Mercury Marine, and went on to own Ring Locker Plant. He enjoyed making homemade brats and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Richard is survived by his children: Bambi Schoonover, Randy (Kathy), William (Debra), Sheri (Scott) Curran; grandchildren: Jennifer (Brian) Perzentka, Chad Schoonover, Daniel (Lisa) Levenagen, Michael Schoonover, Stephanie (Casey) Alexander, Jessica (Justin Corrales) Schoonover, Alex (Stacy Kunde) Schoonover, Cory Schoonover, Erin (Jared) Pixley; 12 great grandchildren; and two brothers-in-law: Frank (Gloria) Sass and Harold (Toni) Sass.

A funeral service for Richard will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kathy Seelow, Dale Eiden, and the staff at Bethel Home for all the care and compassion given to Richard.
