Ronald Herbert Davis

Ronald Ron H. Davis, age 77, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at his residence in Oshkosh. He was born on October 23, 1937 to Marvin and Beatrice (Brigham) Davis in Oshkosh, WI. He married Jayne Harnitz on January 11, 1992 in Beaver Dam, WI.Ron graduated from Oshkosh High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Air Force where he retired after 20 years of service as a Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the Elks Club, American Legion, and the Airmens Society, and was always proud to be a Nordeimer. He liked to tinker and could always be found in his garage or yard working on something. He always had to have his morning coffee with the guys at McDonalds on Jackson St. He loved going to Mikes Place and Georges. Ron is survived by his wife Jayne; daughter, Peggy ( Bruce) Folske; step daughters, Jayna (Paul) Phillips and Trina Rahmlow; step son, Paul (Gail) Harnitz; sister in law, Mary Davis; grandchildren, Darcey(Richard) Von Holzen, Bryan Folske, Abby Davis, Sydney (Bill) Kleinschmidt, and Penny Davis; step grandchildren, Anthony (Chelsie) Smidl, Jonathon (Deanna) Rahmlow, Anna (Justin) Rogers, Abigail and Samuel Phillips, and Caitlin and Cody Rahmlow; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by the mother of his children Jean Hanseder and many nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bill Davis; sister, Donna Morgan; and sons Phillip and Paul Davis.A memorial service will be held for Ron at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church (1860 Wisconsin St.) with Rev. John Worzala-Dumke officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Saviors Lutheran Church, the Oshkosh Humane Society, or to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
