Thomas J. Panke, 58, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday January 11, 2006 at his residence. He was born September 7, 1947 in Park Falls a son of Arthur and Mary Kilger Panke. On August 25, 1972 he married Carol DeFord in Oshkosh.He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, the Vietnam Veterans Association, and the Purple Hearts Association. He enjoyed camping, bowling, traveling, listening to music, working with veteran charities, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.He is survived by his wife Carol of Oshkosh, two daughters Rochelle(Dean) Veach of Oshkosh, Brenda(Fianc Paul Huser) Panke of Oshkosh, his mother Mary Panke of Park Falls, two brothers Arthur( Jeanne Marie) Panke of Rice Lake, James(Mary Ann) Panke of Park Falls, one sister Jean(Robert) Whitinger of Johnson City, TN, grandchildren Zackary Partridge, Nicholas Panke-Fenrich, Miranda Veach, Anja Schwobe, Jonathon, Amya.He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters Rosemary Panke, and Margaret Schoening.A Memorial service will held on Saturday January 14, 2006 at 1 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church with Vicar Ben Leese officiating.A memorial has been establishedA special thanks to Aurora Hospice, the Vietnam Veterans Association, family and friends that were there in a time of need.
