Agnes Catherine Lalond

Agnes C. LaLond 100, of Oshkosh went to meet her Lord on Friday March 28, 2008 while residing at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born in Iron Mountain, MI. on August 6, 1907, the daughter of the late Edward and Ann Franke OGrady. She was a graduate of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. On June 23, 1941 she was married to Oliver E. LaLond in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1990.She is survived by her son Lee E. (Marilyn) LaLond, her favorite little black dog Mitzie, two nieces and four nephews, a brother-in-law William J. Jackson and several step-grandchildren. Zach, a step grandson is a volunteer at Evergreen was very close to Agnes. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Korten and Patricia Jackson.She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish and attended church at St. Peter Catholic Church. She was given a surprise birthday party this past August to celebrate her 100th birthday which was attended by family from Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. She enjoyed sewing, card playing, needle point and crocheting.There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in the Sanctuary of Devotion at Lake View Memorial Park Mausoleum in Oshkosh, WI.Agness family extends its appreciation to the staff at Evergreen for the outstanding care they provided for Agnes and gratitude for the many visits their family friend Ray, who was so supportive, made to her.
