Agnes Martha Anna Brandt (Diestler)

Agnes M. A. (Diestler) Brandt, 90, of Oshkosh died Saturday August 14, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born June 4, 1920 in Wittenberg, WI a daughter of the late Alex and Anna (Torbeck) Brunner. Agnes married Arthur A. E. Diestler on Feb. 25, 1940 in Wittenberg and he preceded her in death. She was also married to Emil Brandt on May 18, 1974 in Little Chute and he preceded her in death. Agnes was a cook for many years at the Outagamie County Jail. She was a member of Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church and other churches during her life all of which she was very active in. Her survivors include a daughter Rosalie Hagen of Oshkosh; three sons Darrell Diestler of Oshkosh, Douglas Diestler of Oshkosh, and Jim (Sharon) Diestler of Antigo; a brother Edward Brunner of King; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Cynthia Diestler, three sisters Dorothy Brunner, Alice Strassburg, and Hilda Moss, and two brothers Elmer and Harold Brunner. A funeral service for Agnes will be held Wednesday August 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church, Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
