Alice J. Krueger, age 69, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at her home in Oshkosh surrounded by family. She was born on June 1, 1952, in Oshkosh to the late Eugene and Maxine (Spanbauer) Sommerfeld.
Alice loved spending time with her family doing crafts, fishing, bird watching, having family get togethers, making her famous tacos, and being outside sitting on the front porch people watching. She also liked to travel until her health declined. The most important thing to Alice was being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was the "fun" in our dysfunctional family (if you know, you know)! Alice will be greatly missed by all of us, but we know she is no longer in pain and at peace.
Alice is survived by six children: Debbie (John) Kentgen, Becky (Lee) Schimke, Bob (Jenn) Krueger, Terri (Jeff) Van Dyke, Mark (Sherry) Whitty, Cheryl Gomez (Adam Long); 20 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and brother, Mike Sommerfeld. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Sommerfeld; mother and stepfather, Maxine and Russel Reinke; and daughter, Tina Runnion.
The family would like to give a huge thank you to Christine, Kathleen, Erin and Chaplin Dave with Heartland Hospice for all your care during the last few weeks. They would also like to acknowledge Edith and Ken Wilson for being such great friends to Alice all these years.
Private family services will be held.
