Alice M. Lambert, age 89 of Oshkosh, passed away at Evergreen Retirement Community on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. She was born in Forest Park, Illinois on August 7, 1935, the daughter of William and Anna (Vierow) Bruenning.
In 1953 she graduated from Proviso Township High School. She was employed as a secretary for Sear Roebuck at their headquarters on Homan Ave. in Chicago.
On February 11, 1956, Alice married Richard “Dick” Lambert at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Forest Park, Il. They bought their first home in Wheaton, Il. And became charter members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. They lived in Oak Park and Winfield, Il. before moving to Oshkosh.
Alice was an avid lover of cooking and baking; her culinary skills were a testament to her love for nurturing those around her.
Alice is survived by her sons, James and Thomas Lambert, daughter-in-law, Julie Lambert, as well as five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Lambert, sons, Kenneth, David and Richard Sr. Lambert. She was further preceded in death by siblings, Elinor (Lyle) Northrop, Donna Bruenning and Robert (Dorothy) Bruenning.
