Alma Beschta

Alma Beschta, age 91, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday September 4, 2013 at Parkview Health Center. She was born in Saskatchewan, Canada on September 9, 1921 to Carl and Catherine Weitz Bauer. She and her family came to the United States in 1924. In 1941 she married Anthony Beschta.She worked at Buckstaffs in Oshkosh until she retired at 62. Alma continued to use her upholstery skills long after retirement and took on a full-time job for the next eight years caring for a family with five children. These years were rewarding for her and held lasting memories. Alma loved her family, friends, and her Lord. She was an active member at Victory Baptist Church in Oshkosh, taught Sunday School for 27 years, always enjoyed helping other and served as a volunteer for the Winnebago County Housing Authority where she lived for many years. She spent the last three years at Parkview Health Center.She is survived by her son James (Chris) Beschta of Fox River Grove, daughter Sandra Beschta of Oshkosh, a son Terrance (Ruth) Beschta of Lewis Center, OH., five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Alma was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, and three sisters.A funeral service for Alma will be held on Saturday September 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside with Rev. Larry OConnell officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
