Amanda Katherine Rumlow

Amanda K. Rumlow, age 106, of Oshkosh passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Bethel Home. She was born February 21, 1908, in the Town of Empire, Fond du Lac County, a daughter of Herman and Anna Keifenheim Kramer. On January 13, 1934, she married Albert Rumlow in Fond du Lac and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1999.Amanda was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing Pokeno, Sheepshead, and Bingo and also helped work on the Bethel Home floats for various parades. Amanda is survived by three daughters, Barbara Ann Litjens of Oshkosh, Carla Jean (David) Grunwald of Oshkosh, and Linda Lou (Charles) Rohloff of Grays Lake, IL; two sons, Albert M. Rumlow of Palatine, IL and Donald R. (Nancy) Rumlow of Oshkosh; ten grandchildren, Brian (Ann) Rumlow, Elizabeth (Michael) Rollmann, Kristi (Zane) Smoot, Mark (Claudia) Rumlow, Todd (Tracey) Rumlow, Christopher (Isamar) Rohloff, Dennis Rumlow, Sarah Litjens, Shawn Grunwald, and Andrew Rohloff; 13 great-grandchildren, Evan, Zachary and Genevieve Rumlow, Grant, Lauren and Grace Rumlow, Alyssa and Ashley Rumlow, Matthew and Peter Rollmann, Samantha, Zachary, and Hailey Rohloff; and a sister June Diener of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, Keith Rumlow; a sister, Elsie Lemke; four brothers, Norman, Clarence, Stanley, and William Kramer; a daughter-in-law, Janet Rumlow; and two sons-in-law, Peter and Jozef.A funeral service for Amanda will be held Monday, October 20, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethel Home Chapel, Chaplain Cathie Vander Velden officiating. Visitation will be held at the Bethel Home Chapel on Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established to Bethel Home in memory of Amanda.Amandas family thanks the staff at Bethel Home for all the wonderful help and care that Amanda and they received, it will not be forgotten. She truly enjoyed her Bethel Home friends she made throughout the years.
