Andrew C. Schmidt

Andrew C. Schmidt, 85 of Oshkosh died at Park View Health Center on Thursday, July 19, 2007. He was born in Oshkosh on December 3, 1921, a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Schmidt. He married Myrtle Ness on November 26, 1946 in Chicago, IL.Andrew served his country during WWII in the Army. He was a baker with Biers Bakery for 36 years and with Copps bakery for 9 years, until retiring.Survivors include his wife of 61 years Myrtle, Oshkosh; three sons, David (Nancy) Schmidt of Oshkosh, Mike (Susan) Schmidt of Butte des Morts, Gary (Julie) Schmidt of Westfield; one daughter, Susan (Randy) Liddle of Oshkosh; seven grandchildren, Cheri (Chad) Mader, Brian (Lori) Schmidt, Sarah Schmidt, Mathew Schmidt, Jeff (Erica) Liddle, Erica (Brian) Godeck, And Ashley Schmidt; and three great grandchildren, Catlin Schmidt, Jordan and Gavin Godeck. He was also survived by special friend and roommate, Tony Janus. He was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.Private funeral services were held at the Konrad-Behlman with Fr. William Van De Kreeke officiating. Interment was at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial to the American Cancer Society has been established.
