Andrew Charles Cox (Andy), age 58, passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 6, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. He was born to Clyde and Donna (Edquist) Cox in Ashland, Wisconsin on September 4, 1960.
Andy graduated from Oshkosh North High school and went on to attend University Wisconsin Oshkosh. He worked as a graphic artist at the EAA Museum and later worked at UPS. Throughout his life he always loved music and art. Andy played percussion in high school and was a drummer in multiple area bands throughout his life. Andy enjoyed model railroading, gardening, photography, and spending time with friends and family. In later years he continued his art - most recently making wind chimes.
Andy is survived by his daughter, Drew Hoernke; mother, Donna Cox; brother, Richard (Sara) Cox; and four sisters; Kimberly Thomas, Sally (Phillip) Walker, Kristin (Chris) Northway, Jennifer Cox. He is further survived by extended family. Andrew was preceded in death by his father Clyde, and his nephew Anthony.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday January 11, 2019 at Witzke’s Bar located at 1700 Oregon St. Oshkosh, Wi. 54902, beginning at 3 p.m.
Andrew’s family would like to thank Aurora Medical Center, Aurora at Home, Dr. Shamsuddin Virani, and Brittany, Hospice RN.
