Angela Christine Kortbein ObituaryAngela Christine Kortbein, 41, of Oshkosh died on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at St. Lukes Hospital, Milwaukee. Angela was born on July 15, 1965 in Lafayette, IN the daughter of Chester R. and Marsha Hoskins French. Angela married her high school sweetheart, James J. Kortbein in Oshkosh in February 1984.Angie graduated from Oshkosh West High School where she enjoyed all sports and lettered in track. She mothered two sons, worked as a nursing assistant while going part time to college, graduated with a teaching degree, and later completed her masters degree. Angie was currently teaching at Shapiro Elementary School. She was very devoted to her family, career, and her students, and she especially adored her grandchildren. She will be missed very much by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, James of Oshkosh; sons, James Michael (Melissa) Kortbein of Colorado Springs, CO, Andrew Jacob (Ashley) Kortbein of Jacksonville, NC; grandchildren, James Dylan Kortbein of Colorado Springs, CO, Kennedy Marie Kortbein of Jacksonville, NC; mother, Marsha Henschel of Oshkosh; father, Chester French of Lafayette, IN; sisters, Virginia Ginger (Jeffery) Robl of Mercer, WI, Amanda Henschel of Oshkosh; one brother, Chet French of Oshkosh, and her mother-in-law, Darlene Kortbein of Oshkosh.The funeral Service will be on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with Pastor Nancy Kreuger officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
