Angela E. Schaefer

Every life leaves a trail of beautiful memories…our family sadly lost a wife, sister, aunt, godparent and friend but heaven gained an angel.

Angela “Angie” Schaefer passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the age of 66 from a courageous battle with cancer.

Angie’s love of life did not come to an end with her death. We will remember the simple things in life which brought Angie joy – her passion for gardening, living on the lake, relaxing on the dock with the sound of comforting waves. Angie reminded all of us that true happiness does not come from material things but the love of family and friends.

Angie’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by her loving husband, Greg Schaefer; sisters Jody Troudt and Tracy Troudt (John Wrasse). Angie cherished her niece Bailey Steckbauer, her nephew Sam Steckbauer (Claire and great aunt to Penelope Grace), and nephew Ryan Troudt Kinlow. Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Judy Troudt.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Angie’s Hospice Nurse, Jolene Hasse and her team for the compassionate care they provided. Thank you to Linda Lind for her friendship and comforting care throughout Angie’s illness.

As we celebrate Angie’s life the family will hold on to her love and not to her loss at a private family ceremony.
