Anna “Ann” M. Cartwright, 99 of Oshkosh, went home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2020.
Ann was born on July 11, 1921 the daughter of Martin and Anna (Scott) Beil, in Glidden, WI. She married Gordon J. Cartwright on January 31, 1942 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on September 17, 1983. She retired from Hoffmaster in 1984 and she was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Hrubesky, Gail (Bob) Woche, Jean (Bob) Zelhofer; 11 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; step grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Eugene – Glidden; sisters-in-law, Mary Fretschel and Gladys Harvey; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; three sisters; daughter, Patricia (Dick) Tollard; and son, James G. Cartwright.
She enjoyed playing card games and RumiKube with her family and friends and loved to win. She adored and grew African Violets. Ann lived alone and was independent until her last two weeks. She liked to take care of the old people.
A funeral service for Ann will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home – Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave) at 11am. The service will be officiated by Rev. Mat Dvorachek. Visitation will take place 10am until the time of service. Masks will be required. Burial will take place in Riverside.
Thank you to the nurses in the ICU at Aurora and the Evergreen Retirement Community/Rehab for the wonderful care our mom received.
