Anna Mae Crowe, age 90 of Oshkosh passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. Anna Mae was born in Bryant, WI on January 2, 1922 daughter of Alfred and Andrea (Telefsen) Persen. On December 12, 1942 she married her Antigo high school sweetheart, Dennis T. Crowe Sr. in Kansas City, MO. Anna Mae was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and husband Dennis, who preceded her in death on October 10, 2008, loved spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed their retirement years, wintering in Lehigh Acres, FL and spending many summers at their cottage at Bass Lake, WI. Anna Mae was very strong in her faith and a long-time member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was active in Ladies Aid, Alter Guild, a Sunday School teacher and teen youth group leader. She was also a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center and for the American Red Cross.She is survived by three sons, Dr. Dennis T. (Debra) Crowe Jr. of Bogart, GA, Michael P. (Sue) Crowe of Oshkosh, and Kelly J. (Debi) Crowe of Oshkosh; eight grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie) Crowe, Kristin (Eric) Johnson, Matthew (Joy) Crowe, Nathan (Meghann) Crowe, Jenny (Derek) Peppler, Brian (Sarah) Crowe, Jacob (Fallon) Crowe, and Megan Crowe and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Sr., her parents Alfred and Andrea, her step-mother Anita Persen, three sisters, Norma McCormick, Elna Hanson and Shirley Cherney and one brother, Arthur Persen. Anna Mae had been a resident of Bethel Home in Oshkosh for nearly five years. Her family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Bethel staff and clergy for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Anna Mae. Anna Mae loved the staff and especially enjoyed worshipping in the Chapel, playing in the bell choir and participating in the many games and social activities. The family would also like to thank Affinity Hospice for their kind and loving support during Anna Maes final days. There will be a private family funeral service. Anna Mae will be laid to rest with husband Dennis in Lakeview Memorial Park. A memorial will be established in Anna Maes name for the Bethel Foundation.
