Ann (Anna) M. Ristow, 91, of Oshkosh died Tuesday September 29, 2009 at Park View Health Center. She was born July 26, 1918 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Genevive (Piesz) and Frank Wojcik. Her family moved to Merrillin, WI and she attended grade school in Hatfield, WI. She met Arthur Ristow while he served in the CCC in that area. They married Oct. 30, 1937 in Oshkosh, where they raised their family. Art enlisted in the Navy during WWII and Ann managed her home and five children. Later, they had two more children. They shared 47 years of marriage, Arthur died Oct. 16, 1984. She loved baking, her garden, and family get-togethers on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings. Anna was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the WI Axle (Rockwell Int.) 25 year club. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Jean Lugg of Phoenix, AZ, twins Richard (Sandra) Ristow and Robert (Kim) Ristow, Janet (Dave) Priebe, Arthur (Donna) Ristow of Lebanon, TN, and Dr. Ronald Ristow of Oconto Falls. She had great pride in her grandchildren, Julie (Steve) Aguliar, Jody (Mike) Bohannon, Jim (Lori) Lugg, Joann (Louis) Bolivar, Kelly (Peter) Sherman, Jan Ristow, Robert Ristow, Randy (Dawn) Ristow, step-granddaughter Amy Melius, Cindy (Ken) Mischler, Carrie (Dave) Schuman, Mike (Dawn) Priebe, Cathy (Geoff) Grill, Peggy (Jamie) Bleuer, and Ann Johnson. Her greatest joy was her great-grandchildren, Amy and Andrea Aguliar, Jason and Jennifer Hancock, Christopher and Rebecca Lugg, Cassandra and Nathan Bolivar, Hannah Sherman, Alexandra Ristow, Brandon, Jacob, and Sofia Ristow, Kelly, Adam, and Katelyn Mischler, Courtney and Tyler Schuman, Michael and Danielle Priebe, Lauren, Allison, and Benjamin Grill, step-great-granddaughter Jessica Bleuer, Ted and Will Johnson, and Grace Garcia. She is further survived by a son-in-law Norman (Barb) Mathe, sisters-in-law Hilda Troudt and Janet Streich, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, daughter Jeanette Mathe, grandson Timothy Mathe, sister Irene (Joseph) Safranek, and son-in-law James Lugg. Anna's funeral service will be on Friday October 2, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Christ Lutheran Church, Rev. Eric Quinney-Burnard officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial is being established to Christ Lutheran Church, Bethel Home, and Park View Health Center.
