Anne Louise Ney

For 64 years, God gave Anne Louise (Ottensmann) Ney the gift of physical life. She received the gift of eternal life by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. On December 13, 2014, with her family at her side Anne entered the fulfillment of that life as she left this earth to be with her Savior and friend, Jesus, in her heavenly home. We will not lose her, for she will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.She leaves behind her husband, Scott; one son, Daniel (Lori) Ney of Oshkosh; one daughter, Tricia (Charles) Olson of Oshkosh; twin grandchildren, Hannah and Emma Olson; and 3 grandsons, Timothy Olson and Jadon and Nathan Ney of Oshkosh; two brothers, Paul (Deanne) Ottensmann of Appleton, and David (Jodi) Ottensmann of Sheboygan, 7 nephews, 2 nieces and numerous cousins. Her mother (Doris), father (Leroy) and sister (Jeri Rhode) preceded her in death.Annes life began in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on May 4, 1950, and she graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh in December, 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, honorary education sorority and Phi Chi, National Honor Society in Psychology. She taught in Waukesha 1 1/2 years before her marriage to Scott on June 23, 1973.During her 40 plus years as a member of Grace Bible Church, she served on the deacon board and missionary committee, coordinated the nursery, chaired the benevolent committee, taught childrens church and Sunday school, directed an Awana club, and organized numerous fundraisers. Anne willingly served others sharing Gods love and used her God given talents to help others.She hosted a citywide Mom's in Touch prayer group, served on the Young Life-Oshkosh adult support committee, participated in Concerned Citizens for Excellence in Education, worked on the Pregnancy Lifeline, sat on the Citizens advisory Council, representing West High School, and facilitated the Fibromyalgia Support group.She would tell you that her greatest achievement was raising and home schooling her two beloved children. Her greatest joy in life was spending time in the Bible with God and spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren.Because she had a terminal illness, she was blessed to spend precious daily time with her children and grandchildren months before she passed and plan her funeral.The celebration of "Life after life" service will be held in the chapel at Konrad Behlman Funeral Home - Westside, on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 11:30am with Pastor Paul Turner II officiating. Friends and family may visit from 9:30am to 11:30am. Refreshments will be served during and after visitation. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh. We invite you to cherish the memories of her life and celebrate the glories of her new Heavenly home.In lieu of flowers, Anne requested that the family establish memorials in her name to pre-selected parties.The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the Affinity Ministry Home Care Palliative and Hospice team, Preferred Home Health team, Home Helpers/Direct Link care team, various private caregivers and the Belville & Associates chiropractic team for their compassionate care of Anne. Anne's greatest desire is that all would join her some day in heaven. She wrote...Rom 3:23..all have sinned ( yes, even me!) and come short of the glory of God. Without Christ you are blind and lost (II Cor. 4:3,4), but the good news is, God loves you and Christ died to take the punishment for your sins (I Cor. 15:3,4). The only question is, do you believe He died to pay for your sins, or are you still trying to pay for them in your own way, by doing good works? God says, to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness (Rom. 4:5). Why not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved?Annes final words are: To my beloved husband, Scott, who loved me unconditionally, in sickness and health, and to my children, who grew more precious with time, to my grandchildren, who blessed my life with great joy and to my wonderful friends.whatever we were to each other we still are. Speak to me in the same way you always have. Laugh, smile and think of me. Ill be with you in spirit and look forward to our heavenly reunion. Sustained by His Grace, Love, Anne
