Annette Marie Bayer

Annette Marie Bayer, 66, passed away with her husband and pastor at her side on March 9, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. Her passing followed a years long battle with a type of internal complication. This disease had only recently become debilitating. She was as beautiful with her last breath as she ever had been in her life.

Annette was born in 1958 in the city of Chicago and shortly moved to the Lyndon Station/Wisconsin Dells area. She attended Mauston High School, graduating in 1976.

Earlier in her teenage years, she began a 35-year restaurant career that involved food preparation, head waitressing, and even managing an entire restaurant. Annette was a favorite of her customers.

Following this, Annette served a number of years as a supervisor of tellers at the Kenosha Bank Mutual branch. After this she attended Kaplan (now Purdue Global) University and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Information Technology.

Annette and her husband of 41 years, Dr. David A. Bayer, lived in several Wisconsin locations, settling in Oshkosh in 2011. They became members of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Annette remained a member to her death and David continues to be a member to this day. Annette was considered by all to be the kindest of people and her faith in the Lord was unwavering.

Surviving Annette besides her husband are sister, Georgean (Steve) Nicholson, sister, Donna (Dave) Carpenter, brother, George (Vickie) Pertel; brothers-in-law, Eric Bayer and Glen Breezee and numerous friends.

Annette will be cremated and her remains cared for by Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes of Oshkosh.

A celebration of life will be held at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1800 Wisconsin St. Oshkosh, WI 54901 on April 5, 2025. Visitation will be held at 11:30 AM with services commencing at 1:00 PM. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service.
