Anton Vincent Janus

Anton Tony V. Janus Jr., 79, of Oshkosh, died Thursday June 23, 2011 at Parkview Health Center. He was born on September 14, 1931 in Hofa Park, Wisconsin a son of Anton and Mary Stolarska Janus Sr. On November 16, 1957 he married Mary Ellen Doemel. She preceded him in death on April 12, 2002.He worked at Georgia Pacific and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was quite the jokester with anyone that was near him, he enjoyed socializing with friends and family, and he would never turn down a good game of sheepshead.He is survived by his children Suzanne (Don) Beyer, Vincent Janus all of Oshkosh, Patricia Janus of Appleton, Mary Janus of New Mexico, one brother Fritz Janus of Green Bay, one sister Agnes Detry of Green Bay, his grandchildren Angie Beyer, Amanda (Dominick) Mancl, Adam Beyer, hes great-grandchildren Adina, Corbin, Xander, Zayda, Anton and his special friend from Parkview June JuneBug Miller.He was preceded in death by his wife, one son Charles Janus, six brothers and four sisters.Funeral services for Tony will be held on Sunday June 26, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside with Rev. James Jugenheimer officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.The family would like to thank the staff of Prairieside 2nd floor for their excellent care given to Tony.
