Arlene N Quimby

Arlene Quimby, 96, went to see her heavenly father on November 25, 2016, with her daughter by her side. She was born on January 29, 1920, in Oshkosh, WI to Paul O. and Amanda (Wolf) Werch. She married Jack Quimby in 1945. Arlene was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a true believer in Jesus Christ and raised her daughters, Judy and Linda, as Christians. Arlene lived most of her life in Oshkosh, WI, a place she never forgot even as her mind was failing her. Arlene moved to League City, TX with Judy and son-in-law Greg Lurvey in 2012 and joined Lord of Life, a Lutheran WELS church. In 2013, she moved to The Pointe, where she was well loved by the wonderful staff. Arlene will be lovingly remembered by all.She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Linda Quimby. She leaves behind her daughter Judy Quimby Lurvey (Greg), grandsons Jeff Lurvey (Sue) of Portage, WI, and Dan Lurvey (Wendy) of League City, TX, and her five great grandchildren, Stasya, Sadira, Joshua, Benjamin, and Sarah. The family would like to thank Pastor VonDeylen and her church family; the staff at the Pointe; Hallmark Hospice; and Tiffani, the C.C. who stayed during her passing. Arlene will be greatly missed.Arlene was a supporter of the Oshkosh Animal Shelter.
