Arthur Harold Ebel, age 86 of Oshkosh, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Bella Vista. He was born on September 11, 1930, the son of the late Carl and Meta Ann (Neubauer) Ebel. Art was the youngest of five siblings. During the Korean War, Art served our country in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Greenwood. Art loved to hunt and fish and particularly enjoyed raising his five Brittany Spaniels. He also enjoyed taking care of his property outside of Oshkosh in Utica, where he lived for 30 years until his health failed at the age of 84. He was a member of the American Legion.Art is survived by thirteen nieces and nephews: Susan Mazarik, Nancy Ebel, Dianne Okon, Sharon Ebel, Robert Ebel, Linda Levenhagen, John Ebel, Kathy Wolfgram, Cynthia Tigges, Debra Palmquist, Tom Ebel, Gail Green and Kathryn Feivor and two sisters-in-law, Delores Hunt and Valoyce Ebel. He also had numerous great-nieces and nephews. Art also will be missed by friends and especially his good friend, Dean Siebenhaar, who visited Art until the end. Art was preceded in death by his four siblings: Ruth (Oscar) Levenhagen, George, Robert, and Kenneth (Doris) Ebel; and one nephew, William Ebel.There will be a memorial at Primos, (2605 Jackson Street), on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm.The family would like to thank the staff of Bella Vista for their kind care of Art during the last nineteen months.
