Oshkosh, Wis. Arthur Norman Tesch, 81, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on the morning of December 23, 2008. Arthur was born in Oshkosh on September 20, 1927, the son of Arthur and Norma Tesch. Art is survived by his three daughters, Ann (Brook) Hayes, Cross Plains, Gretchen (Grant) Withers, Oshkosh, and Amy Ferrell, Apple Valley MN, his sister Carolyn Bennett, Chamblee, GA, and brother in law Paul Wolf, Bloomington, MN. Art is also survived by his grandchildren who made him smile, Rachel and Logan Withers, Bridget, Gabrielle, and Sabrina Ferrell. Art was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Phyllis Wolf. Art graduated from Oshkosh High School, and enlisted with the United States Navy 1945 – 1946. Upon returning from the U.S. Navy he attended and graduated from The Chicago Electrical School. In 1962 Art founded and operated Arts Electric Inc. until his retirement in the late 1990s. Art also served on the City of Oshkosh Electrical Examining board until he retired from his position on May 31, 1989. Art was a perfectionist, enjoyed working on projects, which he had many, loved big band orchestras, and fishing. He also enjoyed stopping by Jansens to meet and hang out with his fellow friends and neighbors. One might also call our dad Mr. Sports Encyclopedia and it was unbelievable the amount of sports trivia which was stored up there, if you just happened to stump him, he would always seek out the answer. Arts family would like to thank all of the wonderful friends and caregivers, especially his friend Jim Erdman and the entire staff at Lakeshore Manor who cared for and loved Art this past year. Art was an inspiration to many, and his daughters were very proud and honored to have him for their father. One of his favorite moments in life was being home on Christmas Eve.Services for Art will be on Monday December 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev.
