August Fiebig

August Fiebig, 95, formerly of Oshkosh died Wednesday February 4, 2009 in Mequon, WI. He was born April 8, 1913 in Trevor, WI, a son of the late Henry and Kathryn Fiebig. August married Beatrice Schalkle on July 23, 1938 in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on Oct. 5, 2006. August was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a tavern owner for many years. August was an avid bowler and is inducted in the Bowling Hall of Fame. He is survived by two sisters Millie Levenhagen and Elsie (Earl) Meyer, a step-sister Helen Lampman, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service for August will be held Wednesday Feb. 11, 2009 at noon at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. Chad Graham officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
