Avis Alice Hazen

Avis A. Hazen, 82, of Oshkosh died Friday January 23, 2009 at her residence. She was born March 20, 1926 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Nelson and Mildred Nolte. Avis married Herbert Hazen on Aug. 13, 1943 in Miami Beach, FL. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1992. Her survivors include two daughters Jacquelyn (Dale) Juedes of Menasha and Wendy (John) Myers of Medina; five sons Herbert Jr. (Karen) Hazen, Larry Hazen, Daryle (Roxanne) Hazen, Michael (special friend Jane) Hazen, and Gary Hazen all of Oshkosh; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend Max Fenzl. She was preceded in death by a brother Eugene Nolte. A funeral service for Avis will be held Monday, January 26, 2009 at 5:00 PM at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-West, Chaplain Vicki Marxen officiating. Visitation will be held Monday at the Lake Pointe Dr. funeral home from 3 PM until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial is being established in Avis memory. Avis family would like to thank the staff of Aurora VNA Hospice for all the special care.
