On August 26, 2017, Barbara Louise Plecha (LeWand), 71, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in her sleep after her fight with breast cancer. Her resiliency, generosity and curiosity are just a few of the beautiful attributes that made her who she was, and her memory will continue to live on in all who were touched by her love and friendship.
Barbara was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on November 15, 1945. In 1963, she graduated from St. Joseph High School (Kenosha). Later in her professional life, she worked at DePaul Rehabilitation Hospital (Milwaukee) and Legal Action of Wisconsin (Oshkosh).
Barbara is survived by her two children, Leah (Steven) Andersen and John (Peter Alving) Plecha; her brother, Martin (Ann) LeWand, and sister, Ellen (Ron Thone) Busch; her 2 grandchildren, Jackson and Ella; and her extended family and friends.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Norman LeWand and Edna (Lynn) Ameche, as well as her daughter, Bobbie Plecha.
