Barbara A. Meuler, age 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Raymond and Gertrude (Gehring) Patzlaff in Oshkosh on May 14, 1939.
Barb was baptized into the faith as a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church and publicly confessed her faith to her savior on Palm Sunday 1953 at that same church. Her first education was at Red School, (a one room school) and graduated from Rosendale Union Free High School in 1957. One week later she was employed by Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. While attending a friend's wedding, her sister introduced her to Eugene Meuler. They dated for two years, and we were married June 20, 1959. This union brought four children for the Meulers.
Barb drove to Lawton, Ok. in June 1960 to join Eugene where he was stationed in the US Army. They lived there until 1961. She returned to Oshkosh with Gene in February 1962. In 1962 they welcome their first child. She returned to the telephone company till child number two arrived. From then on, she was a full-time mom; but worked part-time at Miles Kimball. Later, when all children were in school, she had employment at SNC Manufacturing.
Barb is survived by Alan (June Sanders), and Warren (Connie)Meuler, Kay (Jon Ashcraft) Marx, Karen (Ronald) Yoder; grandchildren, Brandon (Paige) and Cody Meuler, Ariel (Ross) and Mike Marx, Jacob Yoder, Jessika and Tyffany Meuler as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; son-in-law, Joseph Marx; her brother, Everett (Elaine) Patzlaff, sister, Elaine (Jim) Martin.
A funeral service for Barbara will be held at Konrad-Behlman funeral homes Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 1:30 PM. Rev. Chadwick Graham will be officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:30 AM until the time-of-service. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Park.
