Beatrice M. (Dillman) Madaus, of Oshkosh, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 20, 2021. She was born May 9, 1929, in Oshkosh where she lived her entire adult life. She is the daughter of Henry Dillman and Nina (Dallman) Thomas. She was united in marriage to Harry F. Madaus on June 18, 1949. Bea and Harry spent 66 years together before his death in 2015.
Bea worked at various jobs throughout her life. But her favorite job was caring for her family as a wife, mother and grandmother. Bea was a strong, independent woman who lived life on her terms. Next to spending time with her family and friends, she loved nothing more than a spirited game of canasta. Her warmth, kindness and humor will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
Bea is survived by two daughters, Sherry (William) Busching of Appleton and Jody (Jeffrey) Grove of Mukwonago; three grandchildren, Allie Busching, Cory (Kristen) and Kent (Rachel) Grove; and five great grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters, Audrey Hakalmazian and Beverly Culich; a sister-in-law, Arlene (Wayne) Miller; a brother-in-law, William Boushelle; and by nieces and nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clyde (Judy) Dillman and Joseph Thomas; parents-in-law, Arthur and Anna (Schwebke) Madaus; sisters-in-law Sally (Greg) Spanbauer and Hilda Boushelle; and brothers-in-law Robert Culich, Edwin (Margaret) Madaus and Norman (Beverly) Madaus.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr, with Pastor Tim Greenwald officiating. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 11am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
