Beatrice M. Pfaffenroth

September 27, 1918 — January 19, 2013

Beatrice Bea Pfaffenroth (nee Baier), 94 of Oshkosh was born September 27, 1918 and was promoted from this life to a heavenly life on Saturday January 19, 2013. She was born in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Baier. Beatrice married William G. Pfaffenroth on September 26, 1938 in Crown Point, IN. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1978. They had five children together, Gerald (Monica) of Waunakee, Darlene (Dennis) Wiegman, William (Maureen), and Thomas (Cindy) all of Oshkosh, and Steven (Deborah) of Greenville, WI. There are nine grandchildren, James (Barbara) Paffenroth, Kathy (Timothy) Deneen, Scott Paffenroth, Michele (Roy) Schuessler, Daniel (Bridget) Wiegman, David Wiegman, Megahn (Christopher) Colburn, Matthew (Krista) Paffenroth, and Adam (Fariba) Paffenroth; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law Ceile Baier, Louise Kolaske, and Janet Paffenroth; and many nieces and nephews. All of her siblings preceded her in death, Alice Sweet, Bernice Buetow, Ione Eland, and Arthur Baier. While raising her children she was a charter member and attended Faith Lutheran Church and then attended New Life Community Church of Oshkosh, where she was involved with the Ambassadors. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church and in 1983 was immersed in a believers baptism in the Jordan River while on tour in Israel this was the trip of her lifetime. She was active in Womens Aglow Fellowship and loved to read Christian literature and the newspaper. She did volunteer work at Park View Health Center and Evergreen. Bea will be remembered as one who always had a sweet disposition, cared for others, prayed for countless people, sent thousands of cards, gave financially to many organizations, and always tucked inside money or a gift card at birthdays and anniversaries of her loved ones. Her delight was baking, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, and feeding and watching birds at the homestead on Delaware Street. A funeral service for Bea will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethel Home Chapel, where she resided for the past year and a half, Chaplain David Rumbold officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday at Bethel Home from 9:00 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Per Beas wishes in lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for Samaritans Purse (a non-profit relief and evangelism organization working in more than 100 countries around the world), she had been a diligent giver to this ministry for many years. Bea loved the staff and people at Bethel Home and spoke lovingly of them many times, especially all the wonderful nurses and her special angel, Ginger. Beas family would like to thank Dr. Matt Kraemer and Mary Deli APNP for the wonderful care she was given. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Psalm 116:1
