Benjamin Gary Inciong, formerly of Makawao, Maui passed suddenly on February 20, 2019 in Oshkosh, WI. Born in Paia, Maui on October 18, 1944, he was a 1962 graduate of St. Anthony High School and enlisted in the U. S. Navy. Upon completion of his tour of duty in 1967 he returned to Maui and moved to Oahu to play semi pro-football with the Hawaii Warriors which later became the Portland Loggers. With the disbanding of the team he returned to Hawaii and began his professional business career on Maui as a manager in the auto dealership industry with Valley Isle Motors, Haleakala Motors and Kia Motors in Hilo, Hawaii where he retired. In retirement he moved to Martin,TN and then to Oshkosh, WI where he lived for the past five years. An outstanding athlete in high school, Gary was an avid sportsman and competitor, competing in rodeos as a member of Makawao Rodeo Club and playing in local golf tournaments as a member of the Fil-Am Golf Club.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Philip and Alexa Inciong, son Benjamin, and brother Kevin Tavares. He is survived by his wife Lori, sons Lance, Drake, Nicholas; daughters Wendy, Cammy, Michelle, Chantelle; 11 grand children and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Alex (Suzanne) Inciong, Tricia (Alan) Feiteira, Cindy Nobriga, and Stacie (Lee Ridley) Inciong, a lone surviving aunt Mary Elizabeth “Matsu” (Bob) Ornellas and brother-in-law John Nobriga.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. On behalf of our family, we thank you for your kindness and support during our time of grief and sorrow.
