Bernard R. Korsch Jr., 59, of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 19, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 26, 1951 in Oshkosh the son of Bernard R. and Marie T. Bangert Korsch Sr. Bernard married Debra K. Kimball on January 15, 1972 in Oshkosh. He was a member of St. Andrews Ev. Lutheran Church, he worked for A.T.&T. for over 36 years and for Morton Pharmacy for 5 years. Bernard was an Army veteran and an Oshkosh High School graduate. He enjoyed bicycling both indoor and outdoor, gardening, fishing, camping and boating but most of all he loved time spent with his family. Bernard was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Survivors include his wife, Debra; daughters, Erin D. (Seth) Murphy of Oshkosh, Megan E. (Travis) Liptow of Oshkosh, Kristen M. (Peter) Sonnenberg of WhitefishBay; son, Ian B. Korsch of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Lucas, Liam, Lila Murphy, Jack and Gwen Liptow, Fiona Sonnenberg; sister, Bonnie Owens of Eau Claire. He was also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Korsch Sr. and Marie (Korsch) OLeary; Robert P. OLeary; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Myrtle Kimball; brother-in-law, Harlan Owens; and nephew Bret Owens. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 7:30 PM at St. Andrews Ev. Lutheran Church (1100 E. Murdock Ave.) with the Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
