Bernice Edna Potratz

Bernice E. Potratz, 92, of Oshkosh, passed away on December 4, 2016. She was born on May 17, 1924 the daughter of the late Ernest and Agnes (Selle) Knutzen in Dale, WI. She married Harvey Potratz on December 14, 1945 in Dale, WI. He preceded her in death in 2005.Bernice worked for SNC Manufacturing for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking but most of all her family. Bernice is survived by her sons, Richard (Carole) and James (Paula) Potratz; daughters, Myrna (Tom) Kaufmann, Sharon Potratz, Christine (Tom) Vogelin and Laurie (Bob) Ives. Bernice has 19 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; son, Douglas Potratz; 3 brothers Clarence, Harold and Frank Knutzen and 2 sisters Dorothy Laabs, and Mildred Romberg.Funeral services for Bernice will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside (100 Lake Pointe Drive) with Rev. Randy King officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will take place at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Black Wolf.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.The family would like to thank the Home Instead caregivers, the staff at Azura Memory Care Home, and the caring emergency room staff at Aurora.
