Bernice Theresa Zuehlke

Bernice T. Zuehlke 95, of Oshkosh died on Sunday November 4, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Oshkosh on December 16, 1911, a daughter of Fred and Viola Baker Esslinger. She married John Zuehlke on January 30, 1937 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on September 28, 1968.Bernice had been employed with the Miles Kimball Company for over 40 years. She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Bernice was an avid walker, loved animals, especially her dogs, enjoyed reading and knitting.Survivors include two sons, Terry (Helen) Zuehlke, Oshkosh; Ronald (Kathy) Zuehlke, Blaine, WA; one daughter, Wendy Neyhard, Appleton; three grandchildren, Derek Zuehlke, Seattle, WA; Doug Zuehlke, Napa, CA; Jonathan Zuehlke, Oshkosh; sister and best friend, Dolores (Donald) Kiesow, Oshkosh; a sister, Patsy Weber, Oshkosh; a half brother, Floyd Esslinger, Oshkosh; and a dear family friend Jim Morris, Neenah.In keeping with Bernices wishes, private funeral services will be held, Deacon Joe Gates officiating and burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial for the Oshkosh Humane Society has been established.Special thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at Mercy Medical Center for making her last days comfortable.
