Bertha Mae Cram, age 83, passed away on April 5, 2014, with her family at her side. She was born April 23, 1930 in Neillsville, Wisconsin to the late Henry and Ruth Quast. She married Ernest E. Cram, Jr, on October 17, 1946 in Neillsville. Bertha and Ernest were married for 38 years prior to his death on July, 3, 1984.Bertha had worked at Friedrich Supermarket, UW-O Food Service, and Oshkosh Area Schools-Read School Food Service for many years. She had a special place in her heart for pug dogs. She enjoyed cooking and canning, working in her yard and flower gardens, and traveling out west.Bertha is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Judy), Ervin (Carol) and Gary (Vicki); three daughters, Patricia (LeRoy) Ruedinger, Cynthia Owen, and Janice Walker; one brother, John (Betty) Quast; three sisters, Edna (Bucky) Wagner, Betty (Doug) Oliver and June Christopherson; three sisters-in-law Caroline (Floyd) Murphy, Evie Cram, and Corrine Cram; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Cram, Jr.; her parents; one son, Ernest (Ernie) H. Cram III; two brothers, Henry Quast, Jr. and Louis Quast; mother-in-law, Antoinette Cram; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Milan and Clara Bartz, Richard Cram, and Arthur Cram.A funeral service for Bertha will be held on Thursday April 10, 2014 at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.The family would like to thank the staff at Affinity VNA Hospice, the staff at Mercy Medical Center and Dr. Beckett for the care and compassion shown to Bertha.
