Bessie J Kietzman

Bessie J. Kietzman, age 89, passed away peacefully at Aurora Medical Center on Saturday, May 6, 2023. She was born to the late Emil and Dorothy (Dieck) Schoenrock on November 10, 1933, in the Town of Dupont, WI. She married Ralph Kietzman on June 11, 1955, at Martin Luther Church, where they were both active, lifelong members. Bessie spent her career as a secretary for the State of Wisconsin, where she retired from the Wisconsin Resource Center after many years of dedicated work. Bessie enjoyed cross-stitching and was a voracious reader.

Bessie is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Ken) Newton; and brothers-in-law, Loren Kietzman and Lloyd Lemke.

In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph; sister, Adeline (Edward) Ader; and sisters-in-law, Diana Kietzman, and Betty Lemke.

Per Bessie’s wishes, a private burial will take place.

The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Retirement Communities and the staff at Aurora ER and ICU for their loving care of Bessie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Martin Luther Church (1526 Algoma Blvd) in her honor.
