Betty J. Williams, 75, of Oshkosh passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. Betty was born on October 27, 1934 a daughter of the late Edward and Rose Hedtke. On March 9, 1957 she married Philip D. Williams in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2009.Betty was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ. She worked at the Telephone Company, Budgetel Inn and was a caregiver in her home. She was a "Red Hat Lady" loved listening to gospel and country music, and playing cards. Survivors include her son, Thomas E. (Pam) Williams of Oshkosh; three daughters, Cynthia R. (Tim) Kulinski of Oshkosh, Cheryl A. (David) Klinger of Appleton, Renea D. (Jay) Paulick of Oshkosh; two brothers, Donald (Joan) Hedtke of Oshkosh, Gerald (Mary Kay) Hedtke of Freedom; two sisters, Marjorie Hedtke of Oshkosh, Elaine (James) Christilaw of Oshkosh; a sister-in-law, Trudy Jones of Oshkosh and nine grandchildren, Joe and Katie Kulinski, Rob, Dan and Charlie Williams, Marisa and Melanie Wagner all of Oshkosh and Michael and Kathleen Klinger of Appleton. Along with her husband Philip, Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dennis and Robert Hedtke; two sisters, Jane Hedtke and Shirley Coates and a grandson, Mitchell Wagner.Private services will be held with Rev. Kevin Mundell officiating. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established to Bethany United Church of Christ.
