Betty Jane Messerschmidt

Betty J. Messerschmidt, age 80, of the town of Utica died Monday, June 25, 2012 at her residence. She was born on November 21, 1931 in Columbus, Wisconsin. On March 5, 1955 she married Clark Nook Messerschmidt in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1999.Betty was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett. She was the President of Oshkosh Telco Credit Union and loved to spend time with her family, kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed baking desserts for Thursday card night, knitting, watching HGTV, Food Network, playing cards, and playing cribbage on Tuesdays at the Charcoal Pit.She is survived by four sons Jeffrey (Linda) Briese, Kevin (Cheryl) Messerschmidt, Robert Bob(Lynne) Messerschmidt, Todd (Melissa Engstrom) Messerschmidt, one daughter Amy (Drea) Bruss, her grandchildren Tennelle (Marc) Davis, Missy (Nick) Malinowski, James Briese, Kevin Mike(Tiffany) Messerschmidt, Matt (Renee) Messerschmidt, Josh (Shonda) Messerschmidt, Tom Messerschmidt, Caitlin Messerschmidt, Nate Messerschmidt, Maria Messerschmidt, Cole Bruss, Halle Bruss, great-granchildren Cameron Messerschmidt, Jacob Davis, Billy Daniels, Edison Messerschmidt, Aubrey Messerschmidt and three on the way, her sisters Donna Brehmer (David), Sandy Fraser, and a sister-in-law Charlotte Roberts.She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Clarence Roberts Jr, her sister and brother-in-law Marilyn (Don) Mathe, and her grandparents.Funeral services for Betty will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett (502 County Rd M) at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the church from 4-8 p.m. and again on Thursday one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Liberty Prairie Cemetery.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.The family would like to thank Dr. Klinkhammer, Dr Davis and their staffs for their care of Betty and also Patricia Hunter, Erline Voight and Karen Tritt for their time, support and care of their mother.
