Betty J. Raddatz, 87, of Oshkosh died Sunday February 27, 2011 at Park View Health Center. She was born September 25, 1923 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Clarence and Daisy Kilbey Marx. On Dec. 22, 1945 Betty married Willard Raddatz in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2002. Betty was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church and was a past member of the Eagles Club. She enjoyed travel with her family on road trips, playing dartball, cake decorating, and gardening. She was always interested in what was going on with the family, always had cookies in the house, and was happy to be referred to as Granny-O by her grandson Michael. Betty amazed her family in the past 8 years with her bravery and never complaining about the loss of her vision. She is survived by daughters, Diane (Bill) Lenz of Oshkosh and Yvonne (Rich) Holzer of Mishicot, WI; a son Dennis Raddatz of Eldorado; a sister Susan Nicholson of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Benjamin, Timothy, Monica, and Rebecca Holzer, Michael and Michele Lenz, James and Andrew Schulz; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Loretta Kulibert, Laverne Patryn, Germaine (Angel) Alaniz, Delores Dory (Chuck) Wickman, Marlene Monday, and Carol (George) Frohrib; brothers-in-law Edwin Raddatz and Thomas (Gerri) Raddatz; and a special friend Mary Lenz. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter Pauline Schulz; a brother Clarence Marx; sisters-in-law Gene Raddatz and Margaret Marx; brothers-in-law Robert Nicholson, Gilbert Raddatz, Elmer Kulibert, Dan Monday, and John Patryn; and a nephew Michael Alaniz. Funeral services for Betty will be held Wednesday March 2, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, Rev. Rick Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be held Wed. at the Waugoo Ave. funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Bettys family sends a special thank you to Dr. Blaha for his years of compassionate care, the staff of Caring Connections for allowing mom to stay at home for many extra years, the staff at Park View Health Center for all the care, and to all the caring church members who visited every week and brought tapes of the service and read the Bible.
