Betty Jane Ruth Zentner

Betty Jane R. Zentner, 72, of Oshkosh, died at home with her family at her side on Monday, November 6, 2006. She was born in Oshkosh, on November 15, 1933, a daughter of the late Harry and Mable Cuske Voss. Betty married James Zentner on September 29, 1952 in Oshkosh.Betty was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church. She had been employed with optometrist, Dr. Richard Ames for many years. Betty volunteered at church, on the kitchen committee and was a money counter. She belonged to The Club, a group of high school classmates that would meet on a monthly basis for fun, food, and fellowship. She also volunteered on the committee for her high school class reunions, serving as treasurer. Survivors include her husband, James Zentner, Oshkosh; one daughter, Karen (Philip Jr.) LaBorde, of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Justin Crawford, Sandwich, IL; Andrea Crawford, Oshkosh; Sarah Crawford, Oshkosh; and a brother -in-law, Larry (Barbara) Zentner, Manistique, MI. She was preceded in death by a daughter Debra Crawford; and son-in-law Philip Crawford.Funeral services will be held at St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church, (808 N. Main St. Oshkosh) beginning at Noon on Thursday, November 9, 2006, with Rev. Joel Olsen officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established.
