Betty Jane Syvrud

Jean (Betty) J. Syvrud, 83, of Oshkosh, died Friday April 8, 2011 at her residence. She was born on December 12, 1927 in Oshkosh a daughter of Barney and Helen Karst Paulsen. On December 27, 1963 she married Dennis Syvrud in Dubuque, Iowa.She was a member of St. Jude the Apostle-St. Vincent Church and enjoyed golfing and fishing.She is survived by her husband Dennis of Oshkosh, one son Donald(Cherri) Syvrud one daughter Lynn Syvrud, one brother Phil Paulsen, three sisters Carol Koss, Sue(Pete) Kosmer, Nancy(John) Embs, step-daughter Rojene(Tom) Leinhardt, daughter-in-law Wendy LeDioyt, grandchildren Kristopher(Nicole) LeDoiyt, Julie Jones, Cassie LeDioyt, Allison Fish, step-grandchildren Ryan(Lindsay) Geier, Tyler(Hallie) Leinhardt, Dylan Leinhardt, great-grandchildren Karly Meunier, Hayden Jones, Rachel Jones, step-great-grandchildren Brady Geier, Lauren Geier, and good friends Jane and Russell Mathe.She was preceded in death by two sons Michael LeDioyt, Kelly Polishinksi, four brothers Bill, Jack, Don, Robert, one sister June Tschech.Funeral services for Jean will be on Tuesday April 12, 2011 at noon at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with Rev. Matthew Simonar officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.A memorial has been established.The family would like to thank the staff of Aurora VNA.
