Betty Leah Durant

Betty L. Durant, 85, of Oshkosh, died on Saturday, August 20, 2011. She was born on September 24, 1925 in Fairwater the daughter of R. C. and Viola Michael Briese. Betty married Marvin Durant on September 28, 1946 in Fairwater. Marvin preceded her in death on April 3, 2004.Betty was a member of First English Lutheran Church. She had worked at the Miles Kimball Co and at The Paper and then in the office at Klein-Dickert. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, trips to northern Wisconsin, but most of all her life was her family. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ellen Biebel of Princeton, NJ; grandchildren, Sara Voegtline of Australia, Michael Durant of Oshkosh; Matthew Biebel of Colombia, MO; and one sister, Elaine Briese of Ripon.Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; son, Lynn, and one brother, Blaine Briese.The funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Noon at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with the Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to Noon. Burial will be in Fairwater Cemetery.
