Beverly L. Smerling

Beverly Laverne (Barber) Smerling, age 74 of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. She was born on July 31, 1943 in Oshkosh to the late John and Evelyn Barber. She married Jerry Smerling who preceded her in death on November 17, 2015.
Beverly supported the Paine Art Center and the Grand Opera House. She was executive secretary of Barber Die and Tool until she retired. May God bless our beloved Beverly.
She is survived by her sister, Janice (Glenn) Heugel of Franklin, WI, and her brother, Roger Barber of Green Bay, WI. In-laws, Larry and Susan Smerling of Ripon and Oshkosh, Roger and Tracey Smerling of Waupun and Roxanne and David Biffert of Baraboo. Nieces, DeeAnn Stadler, JoDee Lunowa, Nancy Gaedtke, Kristine Kamikawa, Skylar Smerling, Larryn Smerling, Brittany Biffert, Jessica Smerling, and Candace Smerling. Great nieces, Ashlie Bruce, Alexa Bocanegra, Alyssa Bocanegra, Alicia Heugel, Isabelle Kamikawa, and Lily Kamikawa. Nephews, Robbie Heugel and David Biffert Jr. Great Nephews, Andrew Baumann, Nicholas Heugel, Joshua Bocanegra, Kaden Gaedtke, Isaac Kamikawa. Great-great-nephews, Brody, Brayden, and Addison. She is further survived by man cousins in Chicago, and dear friends in Oshkosh.
A memorial service for Beverly will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd. at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
