Billy Berton Butt

Billy B. Butt 70, of Oshkosh died at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 4, 2008. He was born in Oshkosh on August 14, 1938 a son of the late Carl and Marietta Mellentine Butt. Billy married Marlene Dadas on September 11, 1965 in Oshkosh.Billy served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Basic American Medical Co. in Fond du Lac. He enjoyed softball, coached and managed Jackies Beauties and Jabbers Girls softball teams. Billy used to hunt and loved gardening, and could fix just about anything.Survivors include his wife, Marlene, two sons, Daniel Johnson, Brian Butt, one brother, Robert (Lori) Butt and one sister, Barbara (Douglas) Gunz, all of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Erika Johnson, Chicago, IL; Cole Johnson, serving in the Navy in Guam; Jacob Johnson, Neenah; two brothers-in-law, Daniel (Joan) Dadas, Gene Dadas and two sisters-in-law Debbie (Ray) Karau, and Judy Dadas, all of Oshkosh; several nieces and nephews, and his constant canine companions, Tory, Gizmo, and Bonnie.Memorial services will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Thursday October 9, 2008 at 7:00 PM. with Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to the time of service. Interment will be at Scheller Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.Special thanks to Drs. Eric Duwell, Donald Brescia, Karen Gremminger, their staff and Advantage Hospice for their compassionate care.
