Brendan Wilfred Flanagan

Brendan Wilfred Flanagan, age 102 of Oshkosh, WI passed away on October 23rd at Evergreen in Oshkosh. Brendan was born Nov 13, 1913 in Winneconne, WI to the late Martin Charles and Mary Ann Selenske Flanagan. At the age of 70 he married the lovely Mary Elizabeth Wolf Dale on Dec 27, 1983. Mary preceded him in death on July 3, 2001.He is survived by his seven step-children, Rita (Bill) Pittenger of Sheboygan, WI, Kathy King of Tamarac, FL, Michael (Helen) Dale of Milan, MI, Betsy (Douglas) Purcell of Eufaula, AL Cindy (Charles) Halstenson of New Brighton, MN, Barbara (Jon) DiPiazza, of Middleton, WI, Peter (Tami) Dale of West Bend, WI, 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one brother, Fintan (Carol Jean) Flanagan of Oshkosh, WI, nephews:, Michael Flanagan Norwich Vermont, James (Angie)Flanagan of Pewaukee, Kevin Donovan of Fort Lauderdale, Fred Fuchs of Oakdale, MN, nieces, Kathy Bermingham (John) of Oshkosh, Sally (Pat) Cashin Elm Grove, Rosemarie Fuchs Robinson of Traverse City, MI and 18 grand nephews and nieces.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Mary, nephew: Charles Fuchs, niece: Susan Flanagan Donovan, and step-grandson: Greg Halstenson.During WWII he was in the 3rd Regiment HQ Company stationed at Camp Plauche, LA. In his early years Brendan was a crew manager for Crowell Publishing and a Field Manager for W.T. Raleigh Company. Later in life, coming from a family of printers, Brendan owned and operated a print shop in New London. He managed to sell paper to other printers well into his 90's. There will be a wake at 10 a.m. on 11/26 followed by a mass at 11 a.m. to celebrate his life at St. Raphael's Church, 830 S Westhaven Dr, Oshkosh. Brendan will be missed by all his friends and relatives.
