Burton Norman Mick Coe, 69, of Pickett died on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Aurora Medical Center. At age 17 he joined the U. S. Air Force. During his service in the Air Force he was stationed in Iceland for one year.He married Barbara Kumbier on December 28, 1957. He learned to hunt and fish as a young boy, taught by his father, grandfather Farvour, and his favorite uncle, Ben. He loved to tell stories about his hunting trips to Wyoming, hunting on his land in Redgranite, and hunting locally. One of his favorite things to do was spend time with young people. He taught several generations to hunt and fish. He was always ready with a story and a grin, and a practical joke.In more recent years he continued his hunting and fishing adventures vicariously through family and friends outdoor trips. He looked forward to their visits so that he could enjoy their activities that he loved so dearly. We know he is at peace and probably on another hunting trip and will have yet another good story to tell.Mick was a member of Elo Evangelical Church, the Omro Bow Hunters, Ducks Unlimited, and was a NASCAR fan.Survivors include his wife, Barbara; his sisters, Nancy (Gordon) Trapp, Shari (David) Dykstra; his brothers, Wayne (Jean) Coe and Eugene (Bev) Coe; his mother-in-law, Myrtle Angle; and many nieces and nephews.Mick was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Ann and his parents. The funeral service will be on Saturday, July 14, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Elo Evangelical Church, 1134 Williams Rd., Pickett.
